Overview 2024

Following the impressive growth of L200 in 2023, 2024 was the year of transition to a more sustainable model based on 5 main “clusters” framing more closely the identity of L200.

So, the number of events stayed at the same levels, around 200, but this year we had less hosts (44 instead of 70), who were nevertheless very committed and organized events on a regular basis, attracting more than 4,000 external guests in one year!

Some things remained stable since the first days of L200:

NeNa1 Wohngenossenschaft holds many of its planned monthly meetings, on the 17th of every month, but also subsidized the use of the space of related organization like Koopernicus, Klimagenossenschaft, and more.

AOZ always offers a completely free and easy to join German course, and also information on learning German across the city. Every Thursday at 17:00.

NetHood organized various social events and gatherings, like the Cafe Lento on Sunday afternoons.

Neustart Schweiz distributes its books on sustainability like the recently published «Auf den Boden kommen», translated also in French (« La ville d’une seule planète ») both available at L200.

SP5 holds at L200 its monthly board meetings and various workshops and discussions.

Flexibles used L200 as a co-working space, and also for its postal address.

Mayan Dreams organized a weekly pop-up shop and an Apero.

Guido Holenstein, our volunteer graphic designer, used L200 for small working meetings with customers.

And new spaceholders continued their engagement:

The Stadtufer cooperative used L200 for co-working, workshops, and information events.

Zurich Storytellers used L200 as the permanent venue of their monthly Storyslams, the last Thursday of every month.

Various chairs of the ETH Landscape and Urban Studies Institute organized courses, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and social events.

Raffaele Giovani (creagiovani) organized an Art Market with many invited artists and fine food producers.

Vassilis introduced his Random Facts Exchange Science comedy show (currently at its 2nd edition)

Antithesis hosted a discussion and concert for the 17th November commemoration for the people who lost their lives in the Polytechnic Uprising that occurred in Athens in 1973.

Ioulitta Stavridi used L200 for co-working and organized various social and cultural events with live music.

Kollektiv Kollektiv used L200 for co-working and hosted a series of participatory workshops titled «Kollaboration? Kollaboration!» - events focused on working together in collaborative structures.

Michele Casanova chose L200 for his special personal show, with professional recording.

Some new actors engaged with L200:

Miss Save the Planet organized their first pop-up shops with second-hand clothes.

GRÜNE Zürich holds at L200 various workshops and discussions, but also public events.

The University of Zurich’s Social and Cultural Geography department organized an exchange between students and city residents.

La Casa De Nadie started its regular series of concerts Zurich Jam Session.

And various irregular activities took place:

ETH collaborated with the UpZ initiative to host a workshop on care.

Toastmasters organized some of their events at L200.

Zerocem 0100 organized a panel on citizen climate assemblies, and more.

Demokrative organized a workshop on games for democracy education.

The Lemonia.ch Greek delicatessen organized a pop-up shop during Christmas.

ProVelo Verein organized their annual Apero.

Glocalroots held a series of intimate discussions.

INURA Zurich and ETH Chair of Sociology used L200 as the operational base of the INURA conference in Zurich (May 30-June 6).

Martin created a surrealistic coffee place and shop.

Eleni Mylona held a performance and a hybrid event bringing in contact the Katines feminist group in Greece with Zurich's Katines collective.

The Human Rights Film Festival organized workshops complementing the screenings of the festival.

The Porny Days team organized a very vibrant pop-up shop and hairdresser salon.

Nazli and Igor living in the same building organized the birthday party of their daughter.

Philipp Klaus gave solo violin concerts.

Florian and Vera organized a pop-up for selling the old objects from Florian’s father’s Pfarrhaus.

Martel GmbH hosted at L200 a European project’s plenary meeting

Yvonne used L200 for a private event.

Romanescos organized a meeting for non-binary persons and allies

Daniela Zebrini organized Zurich's Chase the Dark Event at L200.

psy4f organized a day workshop on the role of psychology for the climate.

Josefwiese Kiosk held at L200 some of its board meetings.

And always the L200 crowds stepped out of L200 to take a look and support the Critical Mass Zürich!
